To the west of SELF's new plant, stand three pine trees. They have stood since the inception of SELF in 1993. Their presence is a symbol - like SELF, they have faced change calmly, adapting and, ultimately, persevering.
SELF feels that the trees’ story parallels its own with the year 1997 being the most significant. While terrible typhoons racked Ningbo, threatening to destroy the trees, SELF experienced a particularly challenging time of its own. Sensing the danger that the trees were in, SELF staff acted quickly to prevent their destruction. Inspired by the trees’ plight, SELF was also able to pull through its own storm. Both trees and SELF came through the tumultuous period stronger than before with SELF gaining an even better reputation in the market.
Ever since SELF developed its first infrared sensor light, SELF has continued to adjust its product lines to include electronic transformers,electronic ballasts,LED lighting, and LED power supply. All of this has been accomplished because of SELF’s emphasis on confidence, concreteness, constancy, and creativity.
Through storms and adversity, the three pine trees have stood green and straight, with a dependability upon which SELF is grounded. No matter how unpredictable the market, no matter the difficulties, SELF will continue to grow and stand tall, unwavering in its pursuit of innovation.
